Why regular washing is cheaper than correction

Here's what people get wrong: dirt left on paint isn't just cosmetic. Arizona dust is abrasive and gets ground in by wind. Hard water spots that bake in full sun stop being deposits sitting on the surface and start etching into the clear coat. Bird droppings and bug splatter are acidic enough to leave permanent marks in a matter of days in summer heat.

Every one of those becomes a paint correction job once it crosses into the clear coat — far more expensive than simply keeping the car washed. A maintenance wash every couple of weeks keeps contaminants from ever getting that chance.

Especially important on coated cars

If you've had a ceramic coating or a paint sealant applied, regular gentle washing is what keeps it performing. Coatings work by staying clean and hydrophobic — let contamination sit on top long enough and the water-beading fades even though the coating itself is fine underneath.

Maintenance washes are also the safest way to wash a coated car. Automatic washes with stiff brushes will scratch straight through a coating's benefits, which defeats the point of buying one.
